EF/EL 5.0L V8 Bolt sizes help?? - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Hello to all,

Well after the Christmas break and holidays to the states and south america I am getting back into the project but alas I need some info that one of you may be able to help me with.

I need to find the sizes of all the bolts that go into the water pump, water pump cover, AC and power steer bracket and the alternator and idler pulley bracket. I have been to Ford and the block at the parts counter was sort of helpful with one or two bolts but not the lot.

Does anyone know the sizes and or know if the Ford workshop manul has it in there. This id for the ef/el 5.0l V8.

Are they the same as EB v8.. I have mine out at this present time..Ahh right braket that is..

Thanks for that (you can put it away now). I am not sure if they are the same but I think they are different as the EB motors were from mustangs and the later motors actually came from explorers which had all the accessories and water pump hard up against the front of the motor for reduced room...............I could be wrong though.

There are no bolt sizes in the workshop manual.

Sh!t they vary from 70mm to 120mm but seem the same size dia & thread..Was it latter E.L ll that went to Explorer ? different accessory set up ???
Maybe check spare parts on there exploded view on there computor ???Maybe not size but there are codes for bolt sizes may listed. I know the bolts [n9 ??] for the E.L electric fans are...
