Guy at work has a 95 EF Futura that wont start. When key is turned to on, No ignition lights, no fuel pump startup, and no sound at all when trying to start. ANybody got any clues??

check your fuses and relays. does the interior light come on??

Yep, battery just replaced

Its not that stuffed ignition barrel problem mentioned a week or so ago is it?

Nah, I wouldn't think so... I was the one with that ignition barrel problem but it never affected startup.

check the terminals are tight by wiggling 'em not overtightening...the factory clamps loosen on some battery posts...u can fix it temp by putting a self tapper screw in to gap take the slack--

then follow the lrge negitve wire (earth strap) and re tighten it
how does he start it then....jumpstart?

Looks like problem is fixed, and gues what it was the ignition barrel problem, Peter took the lower steering column cover off and a spring fell out, he check ed the end of the barrel and the plug had come out, the retiaining punch marks just weren't holding in the plastic block, put it all back together repuched dimples and it all worked.... probably meant he didn't need a new battery anyway!
