OK this has been talked about alot.
Ef airbox lid better
Xr air intake.
now we have Ba 182 intake piping.

My question is what is the benifit from EF dual pipe intake to
El single pipe or visa versa.
Would it be worth putting on an EL pipe from EF airbox to TB
I have heard the El intake plumbing gives better constant air speed over the Ef which helps fuel econ and smoother power
delivery?

Or did ford just go El type to reduce cost?
ie less hoses clamps plastic moldings etc.

Possibly because the EF one blew to bits when the car backfired?

Personally, I'm not a fan of any of the factory intake pipes, EF-BA. I get better results with a simple 3.5" pipe from the box to the TB.
