Just a quick question about the mouldings that run down the front and rear doors on the EL and also EF. Are thay just stuck on with double sided tape strainght onto the body, or will i find holes under there if i pull em off??

I want to take them off also the little indicator mould will be taken off and AUIII clear indicators are going on.

I know the moulding under the side indicator is stuck on with 2 strips of double sided tape. (I have already taken mine off to fit the Fairlane Moulding, and the Fairlane Clear side indicators.

As for the Doors though, I am pretty sure that they are stuck on with tape as well, as I have seen an Ex cab with one of the moudlings removed, and the double sided tape still stuck to the car door !

From memory, they used 2 strips of double sided tape and no holes.
Amazing thing is the Ford oval on the back uses 2 holes and double sided tape.

Yeah, AFAIK they're just double sided taped on. I'm looking at buying the EL Fairmont Ghia door mould / protector bits - I'm pretty sure they come unpainted but with the chrome insert. Does anyone know a decent painter ?

XTRmn8 - What's your situation ? Are you looking at replacing all of yours or just the ones on the side to accommodate for the Fairlane clear indicator repeaters / lamps ?

I am going to remove the mouldings and just have a clear indicator there, same as on the Predator except i am using an AUIII clear indicator.

Oooh - sounds very nice !! You'll have to post some piccies :-) One question though, I think the predator had the mould provision (aka gaps) filled in so the door was all flush smooth. Are you going to do the same, or just leave it without the door protector / moulding thingies ?

I changed the colour of my dash light today to blue, but i dont like it coz it all clashes with the orange. Also i have a Sony CD player that is red/orange. On saturday i will change it all to red and i will have the new indicators on.

Pics will be in the showroom on saturday afternoon. Look out for a fully sick EL moit.

Thought of changing the Orange LCD stuff to another colour ?
Yellow or Red look pretty sweet with the Blue, and should sorta match the Deck ?

Too much trouble pulling the entire dash unit appart, i am going to use the LED method as shown on the FalconMods site. I'll use the red LED's and it will be fine with the orange, plus they are very bright so the orange bits wont fade out.
