hi ppl, does anyone know a part number for a el gt snorkel to put on my ef. I searched but couldnt find it and im sure it was here somewhere ??? What is the next best one? au1,2 or 3 xr8 ??? thanks

This is the snorkel i use, and here is its part number:

Cost: around $24..

BUT.......

AU XR8 snorkels apparently don't fit EF/EL V8's.

I have a EL GT snorkel on my EF, but it looks exactly the same as an XR8 one. I think it cost $38, made some difference, as I didn't have one before.

I don't have the part number, but don't get it from Ford, get it from Motor Traders, they seem to be cheaper for every part, and they get all of sent over from geelong anyway.

im posative the el gt ones look simalar to the std ef but higher ? did they change at all from au 1 auii or auiii ?

The EL GT uses the EF/EL XR8 Snorkle. Part number EFTVE 9A624 A. The AU one hits the power steering pump on the V8's is I can remember correctly.

Yup, same size as XR8 ones. EDXR8 is also correct - I bought an AU XR8 snorkel and had dramas fitting it for that very reason. You're better off setting up a proper cold air duct to the front bumper :s6:

I'm comfused. I thought the EL GT and El2 Xr8 snorkles were different to others.

No EF XR8's, EL XR8's and EL GT all use the same snorkle (PN EFTVE 9A624 A).
