Empty Shell

A mate of mine was wondering if it is possible to buy a AU shell ( or previous models ) from Ford and what the price would roughly be.

You should be able to. My uncle re-built an EA Wagon from the ground up (other car was in an accident) and from memory the shell cost about $5k.. That was 10 years ago though..

You're in luck today Ford friend.

Rex Gorell Geelong is advertising AU Falcon body shells of all types in all factory colours in Parts Peddler magazine.

No prices but they have this number listed: (03) 5221 2811

Not sure if the lady in the bikini posing with the body shell comes as part of the deal but... :)

Had heard a reasonably reliable rumour of being able to purchase AU shell for around the 7k mark (was from a "racer" - has a history of running new model shaped cars)

The "motorsport shells" come only in a zinc chromate primed form (don't quote me on that though). From what I understand the shell requires some assembly as well
