Ok I Went And Picked Up A Small Mazda Pick-up To Nite For Junk. When I Got It Home I Always Look Thru The Junk Like Every Else For Goodies. I Pop The Hood To See What Shape The Battery Is In Or If It Has A Good Electric Fan For The Demo Cars, Anyways It Has A Small Block Under The Hood. The Problem Is I'm Not Sure What Kind It Is. I'm Sure It Is Not A Chev. I'll Describe It To You Guys So Hopefully I Can Find Out What It Is To See If It Worth Selling. The Altanator Is On The Right Bottom Side And The Fuel Pump Is On The Left Bottom Side Of The Motor And The Oil Filter Right Behind That And The Dist Cap Is On The Front To The Engine In The Center. I'm Thinking It Could Be A 318 Dodge But Maybe A Ford 302. Any Help??

Have a look between dizz and carby what is the firing order?

how are the exhausts spaced? even or one at front one at rear and two touching in the centre?

For starters,does the Top Radiator Hose and Thermostat Housing go to the Inlet Manifold? Or to the Engine Block ?

Ok i went out tonite and looked the engine over. It has an aftermarket alluminum intake so there is no firing order on it. As for the upper rad hose the houseing goes straight into the intake and the exhaust ports on the head are all evenly spaced apart. I am pulling the engine and want to sell it but need to know what it is I am selling. Also what kind of tranny would be bolted up to this engine.

Then I am calling it a Ford Windsor !!! and being in a Small Truck,I would say it is a 289 0r 302,but you would have to let us know the width of the Inlet Manifold? The Trans will most likely be a C4...but may be a C10 or FMX.Does the Transmission Dipstick Tube go into the side of the Transmission Pan? or does it go into the Transmission Housing,just above the Transmission Pan??
