well just today I have worked out that the engine mounts are rooted so just wanting to know just how hard it is to change them if I can do it my self that is cheers

how do you know if an engine mount is stuffed?

It isn't too hard to do. Just undo the large bolt which bolts the engine mount to the chassis (unbolt from under the car). Then lift the engine up enough to remove the engine mount and replace it. I did mine but the trans was unbolted from the engine so I could lift the engine quite high giving me a lot of room to move, but I think you will be fine even with the trans bolted up.

BTW, If its for the V8 be prepared to pay a fortune for the new mounts.
