This is my last chance the 351 clevo in my xd is stamped DM1286 i have ran the number through the WA licencing center and they have told me that it is not australian. i have tried a chat forum in USA with no luck dont know if it has 4 bolt mains as it is still in the car heads are only 2 v if that helps

I think it might be from a ZD fairlane as they had numbers like that and were the USA type clevo's.It should have a 4MA crank but is most likely only 2 bolt mains. .The Australian clevos started in XA and matched the body NO.s starting with JG etc...

when i got my last defect notice me and the man had a look in his book starting at XY and none of those numbers matched up we had a look at the f trucks as well but still no luck

I'd say definitely a Yank block. I had an XC with engine number AE1251 (was a 4.9). When I swapped this motor into another car, rego was pretty upset at first, but they then did some research and said that the number is for an American block. Apparently, Ford Australia did import some at some stage during the XC run. I'm pretty sure that all factory blocks with the XY series were also imports until the Australian production lines started. Willing to be corrected of course!
