Engineers Report

Hi guys , does anyone know what an engineers report costs for a car. I went to VIC roads today and they said b4 i could register the car i needed to obtain a engineers report certificate "viv" i think they called it. How much would this cost would it be the same price as a roady ? what do the "engineers" look at when assesing the car. Any help would be appreciated !!!!!

The following thread might be relevant:

Otherwise I was not able to find anything throughout FordForums.

thanks anyway , i will be ringing up on monday and finding out how much it is. The Vic Roads said a new procedure had just been put in place for about a month where you have to get this if you are re-registering a repairable write off. It will be interesting to see how much it will cost and what the "engineers" do.
