Hey all, about a year ago i got an exhuast system for my other car FTO. I had the rear muffler replaced with a magnaflow i think? cant remember what size tho, (can i measure the piping going into it and determine what size it is).

Thing is its got a really nice note, mediumish noise level. But when i get around 4000 RPM i cant hear the exhuast anymore! So between 4000 and 8500 rpm i can hear it.

Whats the problem? Is magnaflow crap? Its a 2.0L V6, whats the recommended size exhuast system should i have on this car? Would removing a resonator make it louder?

No offence mate, but you shoud've asked around & done some research before you actually bought the system. My mate used to own an FTO. Apparently 2.5" is the way to go with the Mivec's, and 2 1/4" with the non Mivec's. He had 2 high flow resonators on his aswell as a muffler. If you have the same setup & you want it to be louder, you could either.. a: remove one of the resonators (which would probably cause more droning in the car), or b: remove your muffler (which might make it too load).
