Hey all... Once I have all this debt paid off I'm think of doing the exhaust on the bovine. Firstly I want to know if it is better to get the cat-back pipe changed to a larger diameter pipe, say 2.5" with muffler and all that stuff, or just get the extractors and bolt them on without the pipe? The reason I am asking this is because I'm impatient and can't be bothered waiting twice as long to get the complete system all at once.

How much performace gain is there from doing the cat back exhaust? Is the stock cat back exhaust good enough to bolt extractors to?

This has probably been discussed before, so I apologise.

Although it's hard to wait, you will be more impressed with the system if you do it in one hit than half now and half later.
IMO, there is no point putting on extractors if the mufflers have S#@T themselves. Conversely, no piont putting a system on to a standard manifold.

You'll notice more response from the whole system, less disapointing than half now and half later...

I agree with what LTDHO has said, but I was also impatient. I've got the exhaust system but no extractors. I was happy with it, didn't really notice much of a power gain but the engine seemed to rev a bit Free. But the noise is what I love! it was worth it just to get the nice note from the pipes.

I say do the pipes first, make sure they put on a cat with 2.5" flanges on both sides if you go for 2.5" pipeing. Either way the exhaust and extractors cost about the same seperately anyway if you're gonna replace the cat, so it doesn't matter which one you do first money wise.

I want a nice sound, but at as low volume as possible. The bovine is a luxury car after all! Thanks for your advice guys :) I probably will do the piping first then the extractors.
