Question Fairmont Ghia...standard?

Hey

Did the EF Fairmont Ghia come with Premium Audio as standard or as an option?
Im selling my Fairmont Ghia, but have decided to pull the premium audio out of it and stick it in my EL XR6..means pulling out all the looms but buggger it, I want it.
Ill bring the price of the Ghia down a few hundred bucks for it though.

Thanks!

Re: Fairmont Ghia...standard?

I think it may have been standard on the Ghia, but an option on the normal Fairmont. We're talking to the 6 disc stacker system right? Double DIN?

Btw, wreck the ghia, i want some bits from it

Re: Fairmont Ghia...standard?

Why would he be selling it if he wants to fit it in his XR?

mad Re: Fairmont Ghia...standard?

Bastard and Buggar!

Damn those bloody security Torx screws! I was gonna pull them out and swap tonight, but cant get those screws out Ive ****ed a few of them already, dont want to ruin any more , I'll need to borrow one of those torx sets from work tomorrow.
And yep, its the double din, im gonna swap it all, the head unit, the amp and the sub...didnt check the XR though for a hole for the sub, will it have one?
Tell you what backtothefutura, why not buy the Ghia, take what you want then sell it yourself! Im having trouble getting rid of it...need to lower the price a bit...dont want to go below 5g though if I can really help it.

Re: Fairmont Ghia...standard?

backtothefutura ah well, worth a try!

Good to hear confirmation EFFalcon!

Im wondering, I'll need to swap BOTH sets of looms wont I? I mean pull the actual rear speaker -> headunit cables out of the XR and put them into the Ghia as wel as remove the ghia loom, to get the standard radio working in the ghia?

Re: Fairmont Ghia...standard?

I can't remember what the looms were like.
You have the stacker wiring
Amp wiring (2 sections?)
