Whats involved in fixing this problem? I assume its a pretty big task to get right as it would be where the hinges are mounted to the body flexing and nothing to do with the doors or hinges themselves. Is this correct?

The rubber bushes in the door hinges can wear out...and cause the door to drop in height...its a pain to get the doors off...but the bushes themselves cost about 2 bux each from ford....

Yep its a pretty common problem, when you take the doors off check where the door bolts to the hinge and make sure it is not cracked that is also a common problem

It's not that bad. Easiest way I find is to pull off the front quarterpanels, put the doors on closed, and adjust the hinge that way. Then just double-check it with the door resting on the striker plate.

My drivers door sagged at one stage, had to lift it to shut it correctly! Ford fixed it for about $30

The bushes flog out, cheap fix but not so easy to fit. I got a professional smash repair place to adjust mine. Quite an art to the whole process..
