Hey guys, I've noticed an annoying noise coming from the engine bay when the car is running, sounds like one of the belts is worn or something, just makes a constant ticking noise. Shits me more than anything because it makes the car sound like it's old or something :sad: I've opened the bonnet and can't point the noise to anywhere else, I am half way through service intervals and wasn't sure if I should take it in to get checked out or just wait another 10 weeks till service time. Any thoughts would help, thanks

PS. It's an AU with 75K on the clock

could be one of the belts pulleys, Take the belt off & spin each one by hand until you find the noisey one

Put a little water on the belts and see if the sound changes.If it does you found the prob.

I tried the water test and it worked, stops the loud ticking sound.... so this means it's the belt? Is that anything bad or should I go get it fixed/changed immediately?

No,it's no big drama..It's prob just the belt glazed up a little making the noise and wont cause any big probs other than the noise.Just check though that the belts aren't cracked in which case you should replace them sooner...
