Have done it many months back. I can't think of it being any different than removing others??? Inlet- exhaust, etc. Then rocker cover disc cam sproket, head bolts then it should come off...

Hmm it was to fix head gasget and replace pistons due to after 480.000 Klrs the ringlands gave up the ghost. We just fitted new generic pistons,rings after light hone and bearings.Was for friend and as usuall NO money..Gave me the usual Maori wave...The head wasn't touched. From memory head bolts torque to 27 ft/Lp then 90* but check on that!!!

I've heard the laser motors dont respond nicely to hone and new rings...

Parents had it done to theirs (told em to get a jap import instead).. and it was not a happy camper at all. Lost compression after about 25,000km (well not lost.. but was about the same as a motor that had done 100,000).

All reports i've heard is that they just dont spruce up well after the overhaul and wear fast.
