Does anyone know of any companies (wreckers, auto spare parts shops) that specialise in Ford parts?

I'm looking at modding my air intake in my Telstar TX5, but i want to have a replacement air intake in case something goes wrong, so i rang Rex Gorell Ford(main dealer in Geelong) and they said $359!!! i was expecting $50-$80!!! so does anyone in geelong or melbourne know of anyone around they use?

i find that gorrell charge what htey want im in the automotive insustry and can and do get discounts from most car places

Gorrels, Preston motors etc

like at gorrel EA-EL power window reg/motor are round the 250 makr im getting them with my company discount for 160

hehe

also at preston VT side markers - round 50 per pair without the globe holder/globe i got em for 35 complete with everything

Can't you just buy an air pod and make up an air dam, so hot gasses don't get to it?

nah, there's no room under the hood to install a pod, and the airbox has the air flow meter at the back of the box so you can't modify that either.

all i was looking to do is open up the hole in the existing air intake to allow more air to flow through it. there isn't even enough room to allow for a new cold air intake to lead into the air box!
