Im picking up a ED fairmont Ghia V8 for the mrs but just out of curiosity how many kms per tank can you guys get out of them?

Im assuming about 450kms?

Hello Waks,
I have a EF11 V8 Ghia.
Average around Sydney 450-480 Km's out a tank, providing you don't drive the car like you have just stole it.
Some exhaust mods etc. has helped keep the average up there.

Bump the timing and run 98 Octane, fuel economy will greatly improve! And performance for that matter.

Hi,

I have a ED XR8 and I get around 400 - 450 km's per tank city driving, running Mobil Synergy 8000.

I used to get from 380 - 420 km's per tank before I got the UniChip though!

Gday mate,I have a 1994 ED XR 8 with 5 speed and in its standard state I was able to get approx 450-470 ks round town and 620ks on the open highway,now I have stroked it to 347cubes and would you believe the figures have not altered.This would mainly be due to the 5.0L having sequential injection plus the running of BP Ultimate 98 fuel has help heaps.

I have a 185kw EL XR8 and get about 400 k per tank. Not sure which is better: fuel or tyre economy .....

Ive got an EF V8
It usualy gets 500ish out of PULP (more like 550 if I use the freeway to go to work)
On Regular Unleaded ( ) I get about 450

How do you bump the timing? What do you set it to?
