Fuel economy figures
How do they come up with the fuel economy figures for the new cars? Do they drive it over XXXkm distance in different areas (city/highway, hills/flat) and average it? My XR6T "factory" figure is 12.5lt/100km and so far with 1200km of driving (mostly highway) have managed to get an average of 13.1lt/100km.

would you believe on a dyno! no real world driving, just simulated driving which you or I will never get close too. Also your car is new, it will get better. Some say they are the best at 10-15000kms!
