Fuel Filter Problem
hi:
i am replacing the in-line fuel filter on my 1997 ranger 2.3L (it’s the filter mounted to the frame-rail). when i removed the fitting/connector from the outlet of the filter, the stainless-steel gizmo inside the fitting (looks like a locking-clip) became deformed and fell out of the fitting. is this clip supposed to be a permanent part of the fitting, or was i supposed to get a new clip with the new filter? (i didn’t). if it is supposed to be part of the fuel-line-hose-fitting, is it available as a separate piece, or do i have to buy a whole new fuel-line-hose? thanks!
