i highly doubt that it is anything fuel related, if you can hear it burning in the exhaust its more likely spark related, make sure the plugs/leads/rotor/dizzy cap etc are all in good nick.
having said that, rememeber that fuel and air dont like burning in a very cold environment (ie a cold motor) and it takes a little longer, possibly continuing to burn in the exhaust (or if one plug as not fired then the unburned fuel will burn when it hits the flame front of another cylinder)
so unless its bad, ie noticeable when driving the thing, i woudnt worry about it.
