Question fuel tank

When refuelling my wifes 88ea Fairmaont s/w, should the fuel tank be pressurised when opening the cap?

Yes it should be, to prevent fuel vapour escaping. My 91 wagon used to be but for some reason it isnt now. Check yer fuel cap rubber seal...
