A friend of mine has a car that is running a full spool. The car was modified for drags, but now is only being driven on the streets. What would be the go with the full spool? Leave it on, or replace with a standard LSD etc.?? The car is running a worked 308, around 300kw.

If he causes an accident without a spool, he will be bending over to pick up papers.(community service).
If he causes an accident with a spool, he will be careful not to bend over to pick up the soap.

Get a mechanical locker...

I got sick of chewing out 4-pin Ford LSD's and got a Lock-right Locker.

Unlocks to go round corners and locks up when torque is applied.

Still not a wet-weather diff by all means haha ;)

Cost me $600 for the center brand new and has a 2 year warranty

get a 9 inch diff and a decent centre and you won't be rebuilding them any more!
Nine Inch Limited Slip Clutches still wear out though.

No bark attached at raid time.

Is the mechanical diff just a style of Detroit Locker?? Or something better? And where did you buy it from, did the 600 include fitting. Genuine Ford 4pin LSD centres are about 550.
