Re: gas tank

Well sure it is. While you have it out you can clean it up for a proper inspection and paint it. The only point that it wouldnt be worth it is if you find places on it that are likely to spring a leak in the near future. Then... I would buy a new one.

Re: gas tank

Take it out of the truck and throw some degreaser in it and wash it out good. Its ok to use a water based degreaser and a water hose. A pressure washer would work better, but not required. Just be sure and dry it out good. The hardest part about it will be getting the tank out. If nothing else take it to a car wash.

Re: gas tank

Ive heard of the stuff but dont know much about it. I'm not much on additives that claim to seal things. It may be a good product but if something leaks, I opt out to replace it or put new gaskets in. If the tank has leaks I would recommend replacing it. You can look on restoration sites to find one. LMCtruck.com is one source. Good luck with it.
