Getting to the ECU

Is the ECU behind the passengers kick panel next to the door? If so sense there are no screws do I just pull it off or the clips loose?I need to get the numbers off the unit.

There are no screws holding the kickplate in. Atleast there were none on mine. There was a plastic piece similar to a screw, but more like a large clip with a plastic washer that was holding it towards the top.
