does anyone know af a good place in Melbourne that does this without destroying the guard or damaging paint? and what sort of cost am i looking at? Thanks.

John, i know Herrod used to do it, not sure anymore.

I dont know where in melbourne you could get this done but there is always a risk of breaking the paint even with the proper gaurd rollers, it will probaly cost between $50-100 per gaurd

If they do it properly by heating the paint there is less of a risk.

Yep

Herrods do it they heat the gaurds and gradually roll them over several settings

thanks guys ill check out herrods during the week and see how much it is. my mate used to work there as an apprentice ill see if he can get me some sort of discount.
