I have the possibility of picking up a brand new haltek management system cheap. However installation prices are high.
One performance shop that does my tuning says, it is not worth it just get my pooter re-mapped by them when i have got some mods to be done.
The other shop says definately! they will f off the air flow meter and it will free it up a lot and sound EVEN better plus will be a hell of a lot cheaper to re-tune at a later date when i have mods to install.
Wot is the deal guys should i spend the money on the haltek now or just get my chipp re mapped at a later date.
Later mods will include heads, intake, cam ,normal stuff really.

Depends which Haltech system it is.... Do you have the model number because there's Haltech, and then there's HALTECH.

If you get my drift (although it's been a few years since I played with this stuff).

Yeh i checked out the model number and it only controls fuel, not ignition.. bummer
