I had my Falcon dynoed just to see what I am starting with. I'd scan the chart for you but I can't be bothered installing the scanner, but anyway! 127.5kw at the wheels! I find this pretty amazing considering the power output at the flywheel is 157kw. All I can say is I'm pretty happy with it! I'll be happy with another 50kw - that should give it ample go to have some fun.
Is your car XR6 or normal motor.....if its normal it would be 157fwKW or approx 157rwhp
if its XR6 it should be 165fwKW or 165rwhp
since 127.5rwkw is approx 168rwhp you'de have to say thats pretty accurate for an XR6 if its not an XR6 motor I'd get it dyno'd elsewhere as they might not have an accurate dyno.
120kw at rear wheels is around 180 kw at the motor on an auto...there are alot of variables put into the equation, tyre pressures, drive train friction etc..and if your motor is standard, efi 4.0, or xr6
I'm sorry but those numbers are incorrect..
an xr6 should put out around 110 rear wheel k.w....what mods have you performed??
where did you get your dyno done?...
if you are in melbourne i suggest you go to Herrods in Thomastown for an accurate dyno reading..they are the Gurus of ford power
for instance my stock standard ef, which are rated at 154-7 fwkw...came up as 94 kw at wheels...
i hear the average is around 95-98 at the rears standard..
i gained 24 rear wheel kilowats with herrods full exhaust, cam, t series intake and k+n filter...this brings it up to 118-120 rear wheels...and around 180 at teh flywheel...
the car's a bog stock 4.0L AU with a k&n air filter and T Series cold air intake snorkel. the dyno was done at MRT in ryde.
rotor, i'm not in melbourne, i'm in sydney
i don't know but i find it hard to believe that a MRT dyno is putting out incorrect figures. brett middleton wouldn't be happy if he heard ya say that... hehe
i'll probably do another run at a later date when i do some propper mods to it.
i think the figure claimed on the 6 are a little out, i just got my XR8 AU1 tuned at Croydon Autosports and the rear wheels were shoawing 146kw, on a motor that is stock besides a larger air intake.
ok, that's it! i'm installing the scanner. no, there's nothing wrong with their dyno - this is one of the more reputable WRX (ARGH! it's the W word!) tuners and brett middleton runs his rally team from the same place so i'd say their dyno would be pretty much spot on!
