Has anyone put AU rims on an EA-ED?

As above, and if so did you use spacers and how does it fit in the guards and all that? Tell me all implications!

Alex

You would need to use wheel spacers. which are illegal for road registered vehicles in NSW. Unsure of other states.

Alternatively you could try and find a set of copies that fit, as there is a company that makes them with the correct offset to fit pre AU vehicles

Well the wheels I wanted are only available for an AU, and I have searched for replicas but there are none. Anybody know if spacers are illegal in Vic?

Yeah it seems every couple of months someone asks if it is possible to fit AU wheels on a pre AU... :)

Yeah, adapters are required. Spacers are illegal. An adapter that bolts to the hub and the wheel bolts to it, is the safest way to go. I am not sure how legal the adapters are, but ones built correctly are safe.

What these?

Here: http://www.gruppea.com.au

They also have XR8 alloy wheels for pre-AU Falcons.

My concern with 'copy' wheels is that they might not be built to the same standards as the originals. I'd be interested to know what country they are built in at least.

Yes I did. I've read all the other threads too.
Just because it's been mentioned before doesn't mean everyone automatically knows everything they want to know. Just trying to help the Goodz out, OK.

I just provided an IMG link and a source (yes, for copies).
