I have a 2000 ford ranger 4.0 XLT 4X4. I think the head gasket blew on it. The temp went up so I added coolant. then the engine started shaking and then it shut down. The dip stick shows that the coolant mixed with the oil. Does anyone else think it is the gasket? Does anyone have a manual to show how to fix that? Please help.

Hey mate, if you have coolant in your oil its BAD...
Could be lots of things including a cracked head..
Its a pretty involved process to fix a head gasket and if your worried about a manual for anything other then torque settings then I'd recommend taking it to a mechanic...

I don't have the money to take it to a machanic. I plan to take the heads into napa when they are off. I just don't know where to start. The manual is key.
