Headlight Mod

Has anyone taken apart their AU headlights and painted the silver non reflective insert. How hard is it, and anyone in Brissie done it so I can have a look at it?

got to www.aufalcon.com and look in the Workshop area, there are tech notes on it.

It is very worthwhile doing, BTW. Makes the front look heaps better. Here's a couple of shots of the finished product:

You don't need to heat the XE ones - they're held together with clips. So, in theory, you could do it to an XE, though the only time I pulled my XE lights apart, I smashed the glass lens.

i did this to my ea (check out my gallery) and now i did it to my eb, although i want to do the damn clear indicators on the inside too!!! Do you guys recomend the oven thing for them or do you think the indicators will melt?
