Heads, supercharging and compression ratio

G'day people,

I was just wondering if AFR 185 heads would be suitable to go on a centrifugual supercharged 351W........

Will be running between 7psi and 10psi Intercooled boost on optimax/ultimate.

Will the static compression ratio with these heads be too high for the application? if so, what would you recommend?

Thanks,
Mike

Re: Heads, supercharging and compression ratio

they work well as long as u have forged low comp pistons. u will need to get 60 cc heads,

Re: Heads, supercharging and compression ratio

You can get the heads is different cc's (combustion chamber sizes). The 60cc heads are the largest I believe therefore give you the lowest compression.

Re: Heads, supercharging and compression ratio

Thats the size of the inlet port..In c.c... 165 / 185/ 205/225 and so on..

I'd try and get bigger chambers if you can.save some headaches latter..Try and get comp well under 9 to 1..
Some low compression pistons with 16 cc dish...
