Anyone know why my car would start smelling like engine oil/hot coolant when i turn the heater on?
Has anyone else had this problem and how do i fix it?
It is really annoying now that wet weather is here cause i have to leave the windows down when the heater is on and i need the heater on the windscreen in the morning.
A friend said that it's a sign the head is leaking oil into the coolant.....is this true?
No not the head. It usually means a leaking heater core (under the middle of the dash near the firewall) if you remove the fan speed controller/resistor pack you should be able to see inside the duct and see if it's leaking.
