I have a 1993 e-250 and i am having some electrical problems. the speedometer and odometer only work when i have the lights on. if the lights arent on the transmission shifts incorrectley. no dome lights unless the headlights are on. any suggestions?

Just a shot in the dark (well it would be if you didn't have the lights on all the time!!) --- Your non-working items are all low-current where as your lights draw a higher current. What happens if you turn on something else that is higher current? eg windscreen wipers / horn / fan (or all three)?

Does that make any of the other stuff work?
