I was just wondering what parts I would need to get to fit an EL XR front bar to my EF Fairmont Ghia. At the moment, I am aware that I will need the EL XR bar *duh*, the EL XR headlights and indicators, and an EF GLi bonnet will be fine....
Not sure, but I thought about it a while back too. The XRs probably have more complex bracketry for the four lights. Wiring changes, different indicator location?
BTW, the EF XR front nose cone looks better than the EL. Much cleaner in styling.
you reckon? Hmm yeah Im a bit torn between the EF and EL XR...... i like both... I wouldn't imagine the wiring for the headlights or the indicators would change because they are all independant ne way and the indicators r in the same place, but the park light is in the indicator. hmm
Yes I am certain that the EL XR front has a nice grill and four lights. Thats about it though
On a more serious note, im thinking you have got it all listed. Ford wouldnt have changed the metal you wouldnt think, just the headlights, indicators (maybe) and front bar.
the wiring behind the headlights is fairly loose anyway. i doubt it could be any different, the only parts that are REALLY in a differnt location are the parkers as they're in the indicators, but other then that i don't see why they would goto the trouble!
i'm pretty sure there are some members on here that have done the XR front conversion, try find em
lol. i might just ring a mate, he did it to his car, i just got lazy haha
