Help Identify This 302

I've reviewed the casting and part outlines but wanted to see if anyone had any other information on this motor, like what it came out of, and any technical details. As you can tell from the Holley carb and Edelbrock intake, its not all stock so its likely to be a bit of a jumble - the part numbers seem to support that. I'm also curious about the "Powered by Ford" valve covers, I haven't seen any exactly like this before - perhaps aftermarket?

Also, please let me know if the compression numbers I ran appear to be fine for this motor.

It appears to be a 1978/1979 302 out of a fullsize (fairmont), with the transmission from a Mustang.

Compression Numbers:

Cyl|Cold|Hot|Location
1 - 150, 149 (Rear Driver)
2 - 150, 160 (Mid-Back Driver)
3 - 160, 160 (Mid-Front Driver)
4 - 158, 155 (Front Driver)
5 - 151, 154 (Front Passenger)
6 - 155, 155 (Mid-Front Passenger)
7 - 155, 156 (Mid-Back Passenger)
8 - 150, 153 (Rear Passenger)

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Help Identify This 302

Its a 302 (5.0) of some type with what appears to be a 600 vac sec carby.

Those cranking pressures are just about spot on.
