Just recently my rear window has started leaking pretty bad.
I've gone out and bought a new rubber for it and am wondering if there is anything I should look out for, or make sure I do, during the installation of it so that it doesnt start leaking again.

Get a moble windscreen mob to do it otherwise you risk cracking the new one (plus they'll warrenty against leaks and cracks). But while it's out take the opportunity to get rid of any rust in the window frame and paint with rust preventative paint.
Yup... fix all the rust while it's out and make sure the new rubber for the bottom part goes well underneith the boot lid when they put it in as well, because if it comes inline with the boot, it will rust the edge of it up.
