I am currently looking a purchasing a EA S-pack to work on as a weekend/fun car. I have NO experience when it comes to flacons but i've heard that a EA S-pack is quick.

After looking at some ads im getting a bit confused. Some say they have MFI while other have CFI. Do these cars have CPI or MFI or both? How do I spot the difference between the two?

MPI is multi point injection, one injector per cylinder opposed to cfi which is a single pair of injectors that supply all cylinders.. The CFI is easy to spot, it has a tennis racket sized air cleaner lid in the centre of the motor.. MPI runs an airbox at the passenger side front

also CFI should have an unpainted rocker cover. MPFI had a dark blue one.

AFAIK, MPi was optional on S packs, so some will be CFi and some MPI

that said, the engines themselfes are the same, they just have a different injection setup.

it costs between 300 and 500 for parts to convert to mpi,
i guess what im saying, is dont say no to an EA just because its CFi, it could be a really good, well looked after car.

Yep! I had one and I definately recommend it if you're after an EA. I miss my 5spd S-Pack actually
