High flo cats on Au2 xr8 URGENT

Driving home from work on thursday afternoon i noticed the slight ticking noise which i found when i got home was an exhaust leak from the Extractor gasket on the right bank
Couple that with the fact I had to go back in to have the exhaust piping that runs up over the tail shaft lifted a little higher due to it just touching the tailshaft on full suspension travel.

Thus i am off to the Zorst shop on monday to have the Gasket replaced for the extractors and that piping modified.
I currently run FULL dual 2 1/4 (press bend) exhaust with no balance pipe and pacemaker Comp series extractors.

Is it worth getting some high flow Cats & a Balance pipe whilst i am at it or is there very little gain to be had there????

Now I love the sound of this exhaust but should i just be taking it off at the extractors and bolting up say a Difilipo cats back system???

No blah blah BS thanks If you dont know then dont post. I dont want to spend $400 on cats or $800 on a difilipo cats back only to find it made F all difference.....

Thanks
Andrew

not worth doing it unless you get new extractors...and all depends on what sort of system you got, mine did gain 20 rwhp and no loss of torque, but i changed the whole lot..

Terrorising a crap driver near you!

The closest thing to owning a crappydore to me is using 2 gen 3 cats. I had my y peice remade and 2 gen 3 cats installed for about $400 total. I was happy with the result as it not only sounded a bee's dick better but the exhaust looked to be a whole lot better finished.

Re: High flo cats on Au2 xr8 URGENT

Forgot about this thread.

Had 2 new Extractor gaskets fitted and the bolts swung off so they are nice and tight. Ticking type sound is completely gone PROBLEM FIXED

As for the exhaust I just left it as is. Due to the fact I was actually thinking with my wallet for once. I'm going to have to a$$hole my whole exhaust when I stroke/supercharge anyways due to a 2 1/4 press bent system not being anywhere near to up to it. Thus save money and change the whole system after the engine work...
