confused Hitch Help

ok guys, here's the deal...

I'm moving and I have a room full of furniture and stuff that I plan on getting a 6x12 uhaul trailer for but I need a hitch to tow it and their website says I need a class 2 hitch to tow that trailer. I have no hitch, all I have is a bumper mounted ball on a '97 Ranger XLT. I need some cheap options with this hitch thing, any ideas? Thanks!

Re: Hitch Help

Not sure about the US, but wouldn't a class 2 hitch still be a normal ball, on a receiver hitch? Depending on how much weight you are putting in the trailer (and the weight of the trailer itself) you may be ok, check your tow rating. The other option is to put the stuff in the bed of your Ranger (if it fits), if it is not too far to travel it may be cheaper to make a couple of trips.

Re: Hitch Help

Not even 1/4 of my stuff would fit in the bed, heh, as for a few trips, well, I'm moving about 1000 miles away.
