hi i'm new to this site. Two years ago when I had my ea gl falcon 3speed auto converted to a 5 speed manual, ever since there has been hot and smelly air coming from the centre console and also from the centre console bin, any ideas on how to get rid of this or what the problem is? Thanks.

Sounds like you are missing the boot cover that should seal the hole, between the floor pan and the shifter. There are two, the one that you can see from within the vehicle, and then there should be a second one behind that......I would suggest a quick trip to the wreckers.

I'm going to go try to get a new one from the ford dealer. Is it easy to put on?
