How accurate is your speedo?

My speedo on my AUII reads high.

When it says 100km I am actually doing 96km/h.
I checked it with my aviation GPS then checked that with a friend
who gets free blue pajamas and a nifty scooter to ride.

My old EL was also slow.
A friend's EA2 Ghia with the digital speedo is spot on.
Anyone else found this?

MY old boss had a VK Calais with a digital speedo , when it read 100hp/h , it was actually going 75kp/h.Checked with GPS , he loved , meant he could claim 25% more on travel expenses.

I suspect the speedo on my EF XR6 reads approx. 3 km/h to high.
I have also noticed the O/Speed on the trippie when set to say 70, doesn't beep until speedo reading is about 73km/h.

Yep, that will explain why I haven't received a greeting card from the cop I passed on the Hume Hwy at 120 km/h coming back from Wakefield a few weeks ago! :s4
