How many k's should I get to a tank in...?

I have an 88 falcon S, MPI. Its in really good nick, just had head gasket done, head skimmed etc...
How many kilometers should i be getting to a tank roughly? I have a feeling my car is a bit more thirsty than it should be.

Cheers!

David

Depends on...

- Highway or city clicks.
- Whether you have the 3spd auto or a 5 speed (will make a difference on the highway).
- How heavy your foot is.

(and also the condition of your car - tuning, sensors running spot-on, etc.)

If you have the 5 speed - I would be looking at 550 to 600 clicks on the highway (maybe a little more if it is running well). In my old 3-spd auto, I would get around 500 to 550 on the highway out of a tank.

City driving is purely the type of streets you cover and point number three above :) . In my old girl before I change the motor and so on - I would get around 450-470 purely driving in the city.

later,

M........
