General TechHave a question that is not covered by one of the other categories? This is the forum for all other items not specifically covered in other categories.
Can anyone tell me the kinda price range for getting your whole car resprayed incluging a body kit added? is a specific colour cheaper than others? :-)
$500??! sounds to cheap to me... for a full spray, incl. engine bay, in show car finish you are looking at thousands.
If you stay the original colour it is a tad easier. darker colours will show inperfections.
It helps when you have a race car spray painter for a step mum lol

I stripped the car back 2 the shell myself, he did the dents, rust, fitted the kit and primed it, I rubbed it back and he sprayed it, then I put it back togther.
it cost me $550 for paint (thinners, primer, clear, hardner etc..) and $600 for labour, and as you can see, its a top job :)
oh yeah my point was it is how much you pay, but somtimes paying cheap doesnt mean a cheap job, remember it come down to the skill of the person doing the job!
A good $500 repray?
You cant even buy good paint for $500 bucks.
A good paint job if done well will cost $3000 plus and more if you strip her done to her birthday suit.
