My heater has not been working for ages. It only blows out like a little below warm air. 4 weeks ago, i flushed the whole radiator system, put a new thermo (made a 2 mm hole in it, this fixed the boucning temp guage). Still nothing, it went a little bit warmer. As of 2 days ago, it just does not blow out hot air. If anyone can help me out it would be kool. I have read a few posts some say it could be the heater tap. As i am still newbie to cars, i have no idea what it looks like. So if anyone can reply, and they think they mabe have a solution, or even to check something, please try to give a descriptive reply. Thanks everyone

btw. I also checked the two pipes going into the firewall. The one of the left(closet to the drivers side) was hot, the other was only warm because the one next to it was heating it. Are they both supposed to be hot? btw im drivin a EA GL

is the thin green pipe goin into the top of the heater tap? if not plug it in. it has a rubber thingey on the end and goes to a valve on the side that works a plunger and opens and closes the tap. if it is but doesnt work get someone to hold it open and then try the heater again.

Does the air direction change between face feet etc? If it stays on windscreen you will have a vac leak somewhere.

the green tube was pluged in. I unpluged it, and on hot air there is no sucktion, if i change to cold it has sucktion. As for the rubber thingy on the end that goes to the value, i dunno what that looks like. I Looked for a tap thing that opens and closes and i cant find it. All the controls work, apart from the windscreen/feet. This only does thw windscree, but everything else works. Feet/face, feet, windscreen, face only all work. Just no hot air. It goes coldy/warm when in hot mode, and cold when in cold mode. Anyone?

sound abit like the poob i had. after speaking to a mechanic he told me that its veary coman for the flaps to breakoff in the taps, and the preshure of the water pushes the flap againt the exit hole, thus blocking it.
if you have felt the hoses, then shurly u would of seen the tap.
the unit that the green hose plugs into should be plumbed into one of the heater hoses, and held in there by 2 clamps
undo the clamps and pull the hoses of it.
dont do this when motor is warm, and be prepaired to be soaked.
you should be able to see a flap inside, and a lever on the side.
pushing the lever on the outside should open the flap on the inside.
if the flap dosnt move, then the taps f$%^&
mine was chocked full of mud and the flap was broken
best to by a new one, or hit the flap out with a screwdriver to temp fix it
mine took a fair effort to remove.
