General TechHave a question that is not covered by one of the other categories? This is the forum for all other items not specifically covered in other categories.
i am cleaning shed out slowly and came apon this door lock which is brand new never opened till now due to fact i can't remember what its for i needed to take pics for post.
now i have 2 questions for you all:
1: what model does it suit?
2: could it be useful for someones project car as it will need a good home to go to.
also on the inside flap it has ford marketing corporation 1966 written there, and ford usa on the key.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't see the pics very clearly, but the key looks like the one I had on my XP, which happened to be a 1966 model. I can't see the barrel clearly enough to say for sure but. Also could be a Mustang.

i have fixed pics up for you. i was hoping for someone to see it and go oh yeah thats a door/boot barrel of such and such.
is there somewhere you can do a search for old ford part numbers or do i have to harrass a parts guy for an old book to look at.

The key looks like it's a V-8 one(the V shape), and the fact that it's got u.s.a on it makes me think of maybe the Mustang or a Compact Fairlane. The early Falcons out here i'm pretty sure were from Canada. The shape of the lock has me stuffed. Have you tried putting this up on the Mustang, classic falcon, etc parts of this forum?
ask Russell he gets part numbers for everything.
i wonder if he could chase that one down..
excuse my dumbness but who is this russell fella? if he could help that would be very good.
xwish ute thanks for that i was eventually going to get around to start a search,i suppose now i will look for old 60-63 falcon clubs to see who wants it.
geez you would think that it would be easy to give something away
