I was just asking for opinions on the following ideas for engines in my xd
1: Keep the 250 x-flow and do it naturally aspirated with tripple carbs or efi it and turbo it
2: Find a crap 351 xd and trans plant the parts/engine into my car and do it up na with carbs or efi it with a large turbo
3: Go to the jap wreckers and place an order in for a 5L V12 out of a toyota century (i think thats what they are out of) and wedge it in with either 12 throtle bodies or twin turbocharge it with decent size turbos.....this will be the most costly as everything has to be custom made!
What are the weight differences between the motors?
Im pretty shure this will start a 6 vs 8 debate but bare in mind im looking for something a little different to the average hot 4s and VN/VL that i cruze with in newcastle or to stick with the average PAC enhanced rotor?
Seems every rotor in my town has a pac sticker... thats why i never drag anything with a rotary engine in it..... untill now
cast iron 351 windsors were in XW GT's ,ZC Fairlanes which had it optioned and mustangs. the alloy ones are not factory, dont know who makes them either.

Well im probly the only one but id love to see a v12 powered Ford. Ye so wat if its not an original Ford engine at least its original. That 12-throttle donk would sound crazy.
You got that V12 Century idea out of that Zoom engine conversions issue didnt you. Im pretty sure a Jag V12 out of a XJS or something would be cheaper than importing a DOHC twin throttle Century V12. Very interesting idea though.
Personally I think that in terms of bang-per-buck the turbo-injected (maybe LPG) 250 crossflow would be the best option. Being a poor guy thats what im doin.
And before everyone starts complaing 6 vs. 8 is better, yeah id prefer to have a tough sounding v8 with lots of power but thats more expensive isnt it.
But then again, if you got the cash to do the V12 thing or even the V8 then go for it!
