If Anyone needs Tech Info on AU Falcons Contact me!

Hey if anyone needs tech info ive got the AU series 1 Gregory's Workshop manual and im happy to scan information on replacing and repairing things, and it is very comprehensive.

The manual basically covers the AU2 and series 3s as well as the changes were pretty much only grill/bonnet.

Just contact me here.

Thanks

Brent

Gidday mate,

Does it show you how to remove the centre console area around the stereo, in a series II XR8, the whole egg shaped bit?

I would certainly like to know.

Your help would be much appreciated.

That's easy - Remove the radio (you will need two special pins that go in the holes on the radio - you should be able to get these from most audio installers).

1. Remove the radio and undo the two screws that were covered by the radio (they're at 45 degrees near the top of the opening)
1. Pull the ashtray out and undo the two screws behind the ashtray.
3. Pull from the bottom of the egg shaped panel and it should start unclipping. It won't come all the way out because of the heater controls. If you want to undo these, be careful - it took me an hour to get mine back together and working!
