I'll be getting myself an EB manual in about a week and I'm already planning mods.
It's been about 6months since I've had a Falcon (98 Futura that took all my money due to insurance)
I'm of two minds.
I can either spend $5000 on a turbo kit than spend a little more on a bov and an intercooler.
or I can spend up on a Dev4/5 Kit. What do you think?
I know with the turbo I can change the power a lot but I'd imagine a 150,000+ motor won't take the boost for to long.
What do the DEv kits include and what's the exact cost?
Also to all the people touting the Turbo cause of it's expandablity how much can the unichips handle as far as power on top of the origional increase? Eg if I fit an cooler. will I need a reprogram?
One of the members is going to run a DEV kit down the 1/4 on 7th August, myself and lots of other members are very interested in the results, I think he is hoping for a time between 14.2 and 14.6 seconds.
Id probably go the dev package. At least some parts are getting rebuilt and the motor would be strong enough to handle a turbo if you wanted to do that later down the track.
Of course i know nothing about the dev packages so don't rely on me!
If I got the DEV kit it would be dev5 + the rebuild costs.
I'm thinking the Dev kit due to the insurance matters (under 25 turbo Falcon me no think so!)
