My ignition barrel on my car is worn out, it's from a series II EA and I'm pretty sure a screw driver could start my car up. Anyway will a Tibbe ignition barrel lock fit on my EA. I think Ford sell them with 2 keys and barrel for $100. The car will be parked in Brissy for a few weeks and I am a bit concerned that if a thief targets it they will start it no probs and I will never see it again.

I have read some posts and I think I will just by another barrel from ford, I cant be bothered trying to remove the shear bolts for the tibbe conversion. I think you turn the barrel to acc and put a paperclip into a hole and the barrel just slides out.

sounds about right for removal. even with a tibbe lock do you really think your car is going to be safe if a crim really wants it?
